"A sprite is a supernatural entity. They are often depicted as fairy-like."
ATTENTION: THESE ARE DIGITAL PATTERNS, NOT A FINISHED PRODUCT.
These are crochet patterns (amigurumi) to make your very own Medusa Sprite. You will receive both the English and the Dutch patterns.
WATER SPRITE PATTERN:
In this pattern you can make your own Water Sprite with bendable tail. It can even stand up on it's own!
You can find more Water Sprite pictures in the listing for the (Siamese) Water Sprite.
There are instructions for both the Siamese version and the one headed Sprite.
you can mix and match with my Fantasy Sprite pattern as well, that gives you tutorials on how to make different ears* and wings for your Sprite.
Another possibility is to combine the patterns to make a Siamese Sprite with legs.
The instructions are written in US crochet terms, with step by step photos.
There is very little sewing involved, the doll is made in one piece, the ears and wings do need to be attached by hand.

MEDUSA ADD ON:
All the decorations like glitters and pastels are optional.
If you don’t have any or can’t find them just yet; no worries, you can always add some later.
The curly wig option can be added to any Sprite pattern, just like the other options.
What you need:
- A Fantasy Sprite or Water Sprite pattern for the base.
- Crochet hook 2mm (B) for fingering yarn (Scheepjes Catona)
or 2.5mm/C for medium weight (I love this cotton)
- Cotton yarns, I used 4 different colors, 1 for the body, 1 for the dress, 1 for the hair + snakes and one for her accessories.
- Scissors and pins.
- Tapestry needle to weave the ends.
- Anodized aluminum craft wire* (I use 12 gauge. It needs to be slim enough to still fit your limbs, but firm enough to hold its shape.)
-Flat nose pliers, to cut and bend your wire.
OPTIONAL:
- (Gold) thread for the snakes and accessories. I used gold sewing thread on the green Medusa
and gold crochet thread on the golden Medusa.
- Small glass beads for the snakes’ eyes. You could also embroider them if you prefer not to use beads.
- Glitter paint (I use Folkart; Glitterific) or glitter nail polish, for an extra sparkle.
- Pastels or eyeshadow for an extra pop of color.
- Brushes. A small one for the paint and one or more for the powders.
